Children will learn about the agricultural technique known as La Milpa (aka the Three Sisters) and then make a take-home craft.
Throughout pre-colonial history, Indigenous peoples of the American continents cultivated and maintained corn, beans and squash using an ingenious system of mutual support called "The Three Sisters". In Mesoamerican cultures, this near-same system is known as "La Milpa". Children will listen to a bilingual story inspired by these ancient agricultural methods, and then make an easy Three Sisters (or Milpa) craft to take home. No registration required, while supplies last.
