Embark on a journey with Wafa Ayyad, a master embroiderer from the Folklife Center of Northern NJ, across three sessions. Delve into the foundational stitches of Tatreez as you immerse yourself in its cultural significance. Under Wafa's guidance, embroider a captivating blouse adorned with a diverse array of traditional images, each carrying profound meanings waiting to be discovered.
We'll embroider directly onto a rectangular inset can be sewn onto a bag, the back of a denim jacket, framed and hung on a wall or laid on a wooden tray. The possibilities are endless.
