Jonathan Luks and his ensemble will explore the works of many of the greatest, multi-talented jazz and tap dance artists whose contributions have profoundly affected American culture.
Jonathan Luks was a part of the Tap Dance Revival of the 1970s. He was a member of Tap Legend Brenda Bufalino’s Company and studied and danced with Tap Greats such as Honi Coles and The Copasetics, Gregory Hines, Harold Nicholas, Jimmy Slyde and Cab Calloway.
In this exciting performance, Jonathan will incorporate tap, vocals, guitar and history into this entertaining and informative evening. He will be joined by Elliot Bernard- piano, Rodrigo Romero- saxophone, Frankie Hernandez- bass, and Bruce Tyler- drums.
