Needle felting is a process originally developed for making industrial felt in the mid-19th century, as part of the industrial revolution in Germany and England. Only in the past few decades has needle felting gained recognition as a craft. It is a process that uses barbed needles to move in and out of wool repeatedly, interlocking the fiber together and forming a firm and dense material. You can sculpt the wool into any desired shapes and connect different pieces together using the felting needle. No glue or sewing is needed.
With needle felting, you can create a wide range and variety of projects, from cute creatures to realistic animals, ornaments, accessories, and holiday gifts. In this class, you will make 2 projects, chicks and bunnies for Spring! There will be a $30.00 materials fee collected at time of registration. Instructor: Christine Hsiao
