Beginning with the Mercedes 300SL in the mid 1950s, automobile companies began pushing the envelope to build cars that were both beautiful and technologically advanced. These cars were all influenced by racing technology (most were street versions or successful racing cars). Also, every one of these cars are now multi-million collectables with the value of the Ferrari pushing $100 million. Today's super cars can all trace their lineage back to one of these iconic models.
