Learn about the meaning of Kwanzaa in this annual community celebration.
Montclair Public Library’s annual community Kwanzaa events stretch back to 1989. Over the last decade, Paula “Mama Yaa” McCoy curated events that celebrated African-American culture while bringing Montclair’s community together. Witness a ceremonial Pouring of Libations, and honor Mama Yaa’s ongoing gift to Montclair with your presence. Afterwards, there will be an interactive drum circle. First come-first served seating, auditorium capacity is 100.
