Master kora player Salieu Suso returns to MPL and performs outdoors on the beautiful West African kora.

Salieu Suso is a master player of the kora, a soothing, 12-stringed harp instrument originally from West Africa. Born into a family tradition of Jalis (musician-historians), he is also a composer, arranger, and teacher of West African music and culture. Mr. Suso will also be accompanied by a guest musician performing the balafon. 

Due to inclement weather the Kwanzaa Celebration and Ujamaa Winter Market and programs will be held inside the Library's first floor.
