Learn all about harnessing the power of the sun from contractors and owners: the myths, the advantages, the new financial incentives, and environmental benefits.
Whether you’re considering adding rooftop solar panels or just curious about your options, the library is here to help. A local solar panel installer and a few local homeowners from Montclair Climate Action will talk about the advantages, the myths, the financial incentives, and the experience of relying on solar panels for power. A question and answer period will follow. Registration is required.
Montclair Climate Action is a group of local residents that formed out of concern over the climate crisis, but also a faith that Montclair can become a leader in its response to the climate crisis. They work with the township government to promote policies that will drive the transition to renewable energy, such as adoption of town-wide renewable energy, town-wide composting, and purchasing of electric vehicles. MCA also works with the public to increase support for these policies and to encourage residents to do what they can for themselves, whether that is reducing waste, buying renewable energy, or taking public transportation. Through systemic change, MCA hopes to create a Montclair and a world where we can all live in a way that leaves a better world for our children and grandchildren.
