Award-winning recording artist and charismatic singer Lula Valdivia combines her love of the traditional music of her native Peru with that of American Jazz, the music she embraced when she moved here a decade ago from Arequipa, establishing her career in the U.S. and settling in Montclair. Guitarist Raul Abbad Huaman, Percussionist Hector Moralesn and bassist Ian Stewart will accompany Lula. In addition, Peruvian multi-instrumentalist, Manuel Ramos, one of the best exponents of traditional Andean instruments in Peru, will play La Quena (the Andean flute), Zampoña (the pan flute), and other instruments native to Peru.
