This is a paid Adult School class. When registering, you will be taken to the Adult School website.
Have you ever felt like you were in The Twilight Zone? If so, get ready to learn about the masterful writing of Rod Serling, the creator of the famous program, who he was and what influenced his work. We will review and discuss the details of selected episodes from the classic TV show as well as debate the message, meaning and moral within. Over the course of four sessions, we will discover how the stories and themes from 60 years ago still resonate in our world today.
In class, students will watch the episodes "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street", "Number 12 Looks Just Like You", "Where is Everybody?", and "Walking Distance" followed by interactive discussions each week examining their relevance to today's world and where applicable, their similarity to classic art and literature.
