This brief introduction to apiculture will highlight the role of the honeybee in society and farming while providing an overview of the honeybee colony, discussing how to start with bees, seasonal hive management, nectar flow and the harvesting of hive products (honey, beeswax, propolis), and beekeeping tools, equipment, and protective gear.
