Chesstronauts

Virtual Program (Grades 1 and up)

Kids of all skill levels will receive virtual chess instruction for improved strategic thinking and sportsmanship. Topics range from basic piece movements to advanced positional strategy.

Along the way, participants will develop a lifelong love for this ancient game. Chesstronauts meets virtually and uses Chesscall software designed by five students from Montclair Kimberley Academy who share a  passion for chess. The Chesstronauts are here to guide you toward the endless possibilities of your own skills. Please note that children 7 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Information about how to join your Chesscall session will be emailed to you before the event. Please note that due to the nature of the program, we ask that registrants arrive within 15 minutes of the start of the program in order to participate. We recommend participants register for the full series to build upon each week's lessons.
