ABOUT THE BOOK CLUB
If you like everything bagels, you'll probably like The Everything Book Club. We read the best of fiction and non-fiction, literary novels, mysteries, historical fiction, memoirs and more. We generally meet on the third week of the month at two convenient times and venues: Evening Zoom on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Daytime in person at 1 p.m. (outside in the Avis Campbell Gardens behind the Library, weather permitting). You can switch from one meeting to another or skip a month...you are always welcome as long as we have enough room. Registration is required.
ABOUT THE BOOK
A witty, wise, bighearted novel of love, disaster, and unconventional family. A New York Times bestseller.
Jane moves to a small town in the Midwest to become a second grade teacher, and falls in love with Duncan, a man who is famous for being a great boyfriend but never a husband. He is still great friends with his annoying ex-wife and her annoying husband. And there are so many more. Jimmy, Duncan's only employee, is...a bit dim, perhaps mentally handicapped and a very nice person. When a twist of fate leaves Jane responsible for Jimmy, their connection has unexpected ripple effects throughout her life and the community she finds in that small town.
“The story…sparkles with Heiny’s trademark witticisms and cutting observations....The funniest book of the year”—The Washington Post
