This is a paid Adult School Class. When registering, you will be taken to the Adult School Website.

This class is for those of you who know little to no Spanish and are interested in acquiring some practical communication skills. You will be introduced to basic greetings and practice useful questions and answers. You will learn the fundamentals of Spanish pronunciation while mastering introductory grammar and vocabulary.   Topics covered: conversation/questions greetings personal information expressions of courtesy feelings asking for direction talk about needs and want where people are from. Alphabet Numbers/Days/date Colors Basic commands Some ar/er/ir regular verbs Verb to be: ser/estar Verb to go: ir Verb Tener/Necesitar/Querer Ir + a Negation Subject pronouns/difference between Tú/Usted Gender and number of nouns/definite/indefinite articles Some adjectives including cuánto/a The expression “Hay” Basic geography, culture and food.  Instructor:   Marielle Courtois
