A physics professor talks about knots in DNA composition.
Professor Alex Klotz of California State University Long Beach will talk about DNA -- what it is, why it knots, how the body fixes knots, and why we study knots in DNA in the lab. We'll see what DNA knots look like under a microscope and talk about a kind of parasite whose DNA is almost entirely knots. Registration is required once per family. Event link will be sent before the program. Kids can try this fun Mobius strip activity in this video: tinyurl.com/MobiusMagic.
