Author, Tina Cho, shares how Lunar New Year is celebrated in Korea using her book “Korean Celebrations.” Highlights include traditional clothes, bowing for blessings, special foods, gifts that are given, and games that are played. Children will also make their own Yut-nori game (supply list available at link).
Tina Cho is the author of four picture books “Rice from Heaven: The Secret Mission to Feed North Koreans”, ”Korean Celebrations”, “My Breakfast with Jesus: Worshipping God Around the World”, and “The Ocean Calls: A Haenyeo Mermaid Story.” Her middle grade graphic novel, “The Other Side of Tomorrow”, debuts in 2023. After living in South Korea for ten years, Tina and her family reside in Iowa where she also teaches kindergarten.
