ABOUT THE BOOK
"The Dutch House" was released in paperback on January 5, 2021. The book has garnered rave reviews, won numerous awards and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. It is the story of a grand house in suburban Philadelphia and the members of a fractured family who keep finding themselves drawn back to it, but as always with Ann’s books, it’s about so much more. “Patchett's concern here, as in much of her fiction, is with the often unconventional families we cobble together with what's available to us. Being Patchett, she brings her novel around to themes of gratitude, compassion and forgiveness….chances are, you won't want to put down this engrossing, warmhearted book even after you've read the last page.” —NPR
