The name Yellowstone conveys images of bison, blizzards and geysers. Called the American Serengeti, it is a land like no other in the US. Wildlife, thermal activity, and stunning scenery attract visitors from around the globe. We will explore these fascinating aspects of Yellowstone, in addition to delving into its fascinating tectonics, Native American history, 19th century exploration and mapping, and its establishment as the world’s first national park.
