Attend a live production of Macbeth by a beloved local Shakespeare company and have a notable Shakespearean scholar to prep you for the play and moderate a discussion of the performance the following day.
Monday, October 28, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Join Prof. Emerita Naomi Liebler of Montclair State University at the library to talk about the play, one of Shakespeare's most profound and often-quoted tragedies.
Tuesday, October 29, 7:30-10. Students travel on their own to the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre at Drew University in Madison to see the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey perform the play in a intimate setting. Bonus: talkback with the players after the show. (We'll have a block of tickets and you can sign in under "Montclair Public Library." Address: 36 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ
Wednesday, October 30, 6:30-8 pm. We'll get together at the library and discuss the performance together. Prof. Liebler will moderate.
