Celebrate our kickoff to Older Americans Month with this hour-long performance of songs from banned and censored musicals.
Performed by Vivid Stage's resident company of professional actors, Banned In Boston is an hour-long performance of songs from banned and censored musicals. From the cheeky humor of Avenue Q to the political rallying cries of Hair and Rent, Banned in Boston celebrates shows that pushed boundaries and challenged the conventions of musical theater. Join us for a morning of songs that are funny, challenging, moving – and a testament to the power of free expression.
References to some adult themes (such as the Vietnam war and the AIDS crisis), but no cursing or explicit content.
This performance is part of MILL @ MPL Senior Fridays and will kickoff Older Americans Month! After the cabaret, stick around for lunch provided by Toni's Kitchen and dessert provided by Job Haines at Home.
Registration is required.
